secretsundaze 017 comes from london based producer endian. releasing just 2 eps in a few years on nonplus and electric minds, endian has nevertheless managed to to turn the heads of the likes of steffi who used one of his tracks for her panorama bar compilation and boddika who also licensed a track for a various artists ep. sounding like a producer far more experienced than the two releases would indicate, it came as no surprise that this is far from the the output of a novice but the seasoned veteran george levings aka commix (metalheadz).

available on vinyl (limited to 200 copies, no repress). release number eight on telefonplan is an all family affair. joining mad mats & toolis team of artists is swedish producer wiz andreas saag. mr saag has taken the leap from local talk and now makes his debut on telefonplan. opening track justice is dark, deep and with a sumptuous bass to sink your teeth into. it is rough and punchy with a clever vocal sample that almost works like a chant. justice comes in two versions, for those of you who like your song instrumental we have made sure your wish is granted too, it still got enough intensity about it without losing the pulsating heaviness. on the flipside, call of yacuma could be described as a grittier and stripped down version of andreas previous local talk track in the box. it is pure simplicity and groove makes it simply irresistible. listening to these tracks it is clear mr saag has been influenced by living in berlin these past years. both justice and call of yacuma wouldnt sound out of place in a dark club with a big soundsystem late at night. just make sure you get past the bouncer while entering the club.

for the dataphysix fans and trainspotters here finally on vinyl! one of the tracks that has been played by heinrich mueller 2 years ago in a special podcast he did for resident advisor. this was one of the unknown tracks and finally it gets an official release. no further info on the producer, just a well produced one sided 12inch with doodles etched in spiral on the b-side. its needles to say there is a limited amount of these.

back at it again, taking the true essence of the “jacking” sound of chicago house and putting it’s own stamp on it is what obsolete music technology has done with their new 12&#8243,, entitled, “volatile.” warbling, wobbling, distorting, sinisterly acidic basslines abound is the best way to describe this release! for dance floors only! you have been warned! “volatile” starts off with some 707 drums intro and then fading in, is this tripped out, bubbling bass sound that sends you off a cliff! just when you think that’s all to the track, dark, melancholic pads comes in for added atmos-fear! rounding out the a-side is “killin,” with it’s 2 acid style basslines, one sounding at a high octave and the other at a lower octave. riffs playing separately sounding great, but when played together, there is something slightly, mentally off. on the b-side, “broken siren” is high energy! 808 tom drums bringing the funky low end while a short, electronic piano lick drenched in warm, fuzzy, flange effect. setting it off is a decayed sine wave, mimicking an actual alarm sound. lastly, “electric current” best describe this distorted acid bassline and its tweaking filter and resonance controls over jacking 808 drums

this time around it s a triple dose of the sort of forward-moving and ready-to-go good times accompaniment. first up is ben houghton from melbourne, australia with do you know a house cut with emotional deep vibes and more than enough of the straightforward percussion and bump required to keep things immediate. following it up is natural late nighter happiness, another housey number but with a smokey mood that just seems to dub itself out as the track keeps moving. at the tail end of the release you ll encounter casazza & kozber an italian-polish producer team that will have you slinking around with the certified lazer-lounge mover twilight all squelches and shimmers, it s a journey from the sunken dancefloor to the mirrored bar and back again.

the fx mchn has unplugged itself from the london housing trust offices just long enough to run off these three documents for narrow gauge. art 2 mouse starts with a gritty, little drum box punching way above its weight before the heavy machinery rolls in for reinforcement. mono life slows the tempo with a close-up shot of the intricate interlocking cogs of an fx mchn track. on the flip side we move to a wider-screen format for a helicopter ride over the oil-drum beats and tribal chants of no place to go .
